I have been there before, it has always been a positive thing for me, the problem is that not many people go into it so you might be the only one when you decide to go the best thing to do is post what time you will show up in chat while in the chat and let anyone reading it know that if they show up at that time you will be there.

Agree JeffK, the lengths We go to gamble are shameful. Lying to my family about where I had been, moving money around, managing , hiding the losses, racking up my Visa card to play for losses. Thank you so much for your comment Woundedhealer I have been at recovery off and on for many years never fully gave it up but I could tell when I was in recovery on a different site a lot of nick picking to what you can say and do and they would block you from the site for the slightest rule brake it was not helpful at all it was bad glad I am out…[Read more]

Great post Durr, you mentioned we are not fully aware, totally agree. Any time I have spent 15 hours in a casino plugging a slot machine it almost has been an out of body experience, during that unaware time I usually have a bankroll of $1500, have totally lost insight as to the value of the money, to me it’s a means to get a fix. Very well said, Woundedhealer. Baby steps – Rome wasn’t built in one day. I like that analogy. Practicing daily affirmations helps too. Switch your negative thinking to a positive one. Start loving yourself and believe in yourself. If you don’t, who else will?
