    Hey Brandon!

Welcome to the group. I too am fairly new here with a similar situation at hand. Online gambling is the worst simply because of how easily accessible it is. Push a button make a deposit… win some money, lose a ton more. It drove me to the point where I was literally yelling and smacking myself because it was an endless loop of h…[Read more]

    • Thank you for the kind words, i would like to mention “winning a lot” is actually winning some of my thousands i have lost back. I hope you stay strong and maybe talking to your Fiancé about it more will help! We are all in this together!

    Awesome Yolip!

That urge is a tough one to overcome but you made it by doing something that you are passionate about. Today, I went to church, spent time with my family and spent the majority of the day doing Uber. I have a regular 9-5 but doing Uber keeps my mind busy and away from gambling. Just made dinner and now relaxing with my lady. Today…[Read more]

    • Thank you Cjg.. your day sounds awesome too. I’m so happy for us! Gambling made me forget that there is life and happiness outside of it. There are other things in life that can make us feel alive again.. especially our love ones. Keep going.. you got this !

    Hi Yolip!

I think the only way to get out of this gambling addiction is by talking to a professional or going to GA. I’m going to call my insurance and see what’s covered. This really has to stop. My mind is always bringing me back to this lousy state and I’m just tired…

I hope all is well with you Yolip! Please don’t slip as I have…

    • My therapy sessions are free. It’s under a program called CALGETS (California Gambling Education and Treatment Services) It’s a collab between the Office of Problem Gambling (OPG) and the UCLA Gambling Studies Program (UGSP) here in Los Angeles. I don’t know where you are but you can check the internet for free resources in your area. It’s how I found it.

Today, I am not proud of myself. I downloaded “bet blocker” in hopes to block all online gaming websites. I went to check to see if it worked so I visited a site that I used to frequent. Well it didn’t work and I ended up making a deposit. Well that is now gone and now I feel pretty down on myself. I guess it’s back to square one. This feeling…[Read more]

    • Cjg, don’t beat your self up. I slipped so many times too. Continue learning from mistakes. Have you considered counselling or GA?
I was battling with the strong urges today (it’s weekend) and was getting afraid I might slip again. I had a session with therapist and it really helped me.

Good morning everyone! So today is pay day. First thing I thought of was…you guessed it, gambling… but you know what? I got out of bed and went to the gym at 5am with my fiancé to focus that negative mindset and use it to give me positive energy. Yes the urge is still there, but I know that I am stronger than this and so is everyone else in this…[Read more]

    Hey Jack!

Totally get where you are coming from. There was a point where I was up so much money that there was no way that I could screw it up and lose it all. Well I was wrong. I lost about 9K In winnings then kept depositing and depositing and depositing hoping that I could get that back. I was in a whirlwind of hurt for the last 2 months or…[Read more]

I have my “Why” written on a post it note taped on my bathroom mirror so I visually see it everyday. Why do you want to quit?? My “Why” is I want to be a person with integrity who h…[Read more]

It sure was tough but it was something that had to be done. I do need to tell those that a near and dear to me still but that will come soon enough. This is not my first go around with breaking down as I had a similar situation with my mother about 12 years ago. Im done living like this! I think we’re all done living like this!

    Hi Yolip!

Hope youre doing better today! You really helped me to get over this first hurdle by telling me about how you opened up to your husband. Even though we don’t know each other, I do feel that sense of friendship and compassion from you and all the others in here! Let’s do this! Let’s be freed from this vice and live like God intended us to live!

    Hey Jack!

Hiding this from her was eating away at me from inside. I was pacing around the kitchen this morning and later expressed my anxiety to her. We’re set to get married this year and she thought it was stress from that (which there totally is) and then that’s when I let it all out. I’m so grateful to have a person like her in my life and s…[Read more]

So today, I decided to tell my Fiancé about my addiction and it went better than I thought! We both shed some tears but she’s quite understanding. I told her that things will be different and I totally believe they will be because hearing her cry sent a strong message to me and I vow to never make her feel that way again! I feel that a huge we…[Read more]

    • This was great to hear. Having a similar thing happening with my girlfriend of 3 years. She was actually not that mad about the gambling (not happy
But not mad) she was mad that I was consistently lied about it. Honesty can help us get through almost anything.

    Hi Yolip!

I am the same way! I wake up feeling a sense of dread and misery all while laying next to my fiancé.
