This is a good perspective. I had some big wins but they surely ruined me. I was plus 20K last May when I threw it all away on Draft Kings, the few decent wins I had since evaporated quickly. To clarify, I think the issue may be certain actors or infiltrators that come on these sites and try to skim information.

Community 1 years, 11 months agoI’ve heard rumors that certain support sites are mining users data. I really don’t think that’s the case here, but if it is that’s just sick. We’re addicts and if anyone is exploiting that, what a sick society. Such dark times.

Community 2 years agoThis thing just reaches me late at night after drinking and the losses mount up and it feels hopeless. The girl who lives in the apartment above me stomps around carelessly. She doesn’t care she is so rude and awful. I hate her.

I hate this addiction, the nightmares, the mental illness, the PTSD, still waiting to talk to a therapist who is supposed to call me this week. I’ve done so much damage. The debt mountain is so high. I fear my brain is permanently broken.

I was up 20K in April, now I’m down over 30K. It’s a desperate feeling, I get blackout drunk and disassociate. In this month alone, I blew a 20K win, a 19K win and 9900 win. It’s evil and sick, I’ve stolen from family. These casinos are evil and rigged.

Ken is absolutely right. He referred me to the Smart Recovery program as I am agnostic and I am seeking help there. I have the utmost respect for those who have found god, just have had too much tragedy to believe that a god or gods haven’t abandoned our wicked human race.

I’m basically in the same boat, I blew large blackjack wins in the less than a week. I had paid off my credit card debt (like 21K), now I’m back in the hole like 11K. I needed a financial advisor and a therapist, but instead I kept drinking and gambling. These new apps are just so evil. Draft Kings, never ever use that.
