What are our real odds of winning the lottery/jackpot or some huge poker tourney? When the lottery is 200 million, your odds are…. Imagine if they dropped a ball from a small plane into a stadium for the winner. How many stadiums filled with 100,000 people each would you need to give you an idea of your odds to win.
Answer: Let’s us just say – you would not see the ball drop. The plane would be so far away from you that it would be an inch tall.

    • This is a good perspective. I had some big wins but they surely ruined me. I was plus 20K last May when I threw it all away on Draft Kings, the few decent wins I had since evaporated quickly. I broke my ankle in a drunken gambling binge. When you’re so deep in credit card debt, it feels like gambling is the only way out. I work a gig type job and then throw my whole paycheck away which I did last night. I live in poverty in a shitty house where the upstairs neighbor stomps around and she’s half deaf. I somehow still have a gf, if she knew I was gambling, she’s drop me in a heartbeat. I’m a writer but haven’t published anything in over a year. Feels hopeless. My little brother died in 2016, my dad died 5 days later, I thought it would make me stronger, instead I put all my pain and grief into this evil, bottomless hole.
