Today my adopted 13 year old grandson asked me to buy him fishing fly’s costing 22.00. He offered to do chores in trade after he goes fihing. Only one of my many expenses. In my gambling addiction, I’ve only had myself to answer to and it’s been easy for me to come up with irrational thoughtsto give myself permission to gamble, like “I can afford to play $300.00 today. I’m going to really work at resisting urges to gambling for at least 22 days. I read somewhere it takes 21 days to change a habit. As time passes, the urges may be less intense.

Community 2 years, 6 months agoHave a tough road ahead of me saying no to my gambling urges. Must keep trying to control my.bad habit and finding other fun and necessary activities to do. It’s going to be an uphill climb.

It is scary to think about spending adds up if I play the slots often and spend most of what goes into the machine. A major behaviour chang needs to happen.
