Community 11 months agoI’m having such a bad night. I have gambled most days this past week. I can’t pay off my credit card bill. I am so ashamed of myself. Mo50 you are not alone. I feel the same way. But we can’t give up. So many people here have fought their gambling demons and have been successful. I have hope because of them.

I can relate. It was just pure entertainment for me. Now I can’t stop no matter how much I lose. If I win I keep putting it back in till I lose it all. I don’t understand it either. Thank you. I will block myself at the casino tomorrow. Didn’t realize I could do that. I have looked for GA meetings but have not found any in my area. Hoping this venue will help. I have started meeting with a therapist specializing in Gambling addiction. I have only met with her once, but looking forward to continuing with her. I want a…[Read more]

Hi river you mentioned you were at a casino there you can likely self exclude yourself. I did that going back a few years ago when I realized how quickly my money was slipping away. I self excluded at least for a couple of years. I can’t remember if it was two or three years. The time ran out then I wrote to ask permission to go back again t…[Read more]

Community 11 months, 2 weeks agoI started out about a year ago putting $20 into a slot machine and walking away win or lose. Now I gamble every day and I am losing thousands. I can’t believe how quickly it escalated and how I have lost complete control. I need someone to talk to when I get the urge. I was up all night at a casino last night. Hi rivers sorry you are troubled by gambling. Truth is many including myself started just like you. Now landed in a spot needing to stop. It’s a struggle rivers You need to find it in yourself to stay away. The deal is with you. I’ve hurt , you’ve hurt we’ve all hurt from gambling. Self exclusion can help. I did that for a time.
It really came down, comes down to my ability to say I’m not going to do that. GA could possibly help with that Counciling.
