I have tried different methods, setting budgets, negotiating w partner on amount… I’m in the pull the bandaid phase (almost a week) it’s hard and coming here is a great way to know ur not alone.

I stopped August 4th, had my husband change passwords deleted the app and I’m not going to lie it’s hard but I’m trying to find way to replace my habit.   Counseling along with GA saved my life.
  I was suicidal when thanks to a knock on my door that I took as a sign to seek help I found some group counseling that was based on cognitive therapy . I attended 16 weeks of group sessions and a year and a half of after care as well as weekly GA meetings.

This is new to me too. I have never admitted that I had a problem until day I joined (few days ago) I come on here every time I get urges to play. Bn wo gambling for 3 whole days but last night I took $15 to test myself. I lost ur and I confronted myself and won! I shut it off and went to bed. It’s small steps. Small victories count too. Mel I tell myself the same thing! How the hell did I get here? Truth is, it’s fun. But what makes us get addicted? The thrill? The excitement? Is it worth the shame and guilt and yes the lies to ourselves and family? I’m so glad I joined this group. You are not alone!

I finally admitted to myself and my husband that I have a problem gambling! I’m new here and looking for support. Online gambling needs to stop! I tried budgeting I tried quitting I tried going to casino only and make do wo online… and I am failing.
