Good morning, I have not gambled for a week. I’m not planning on going over again. I had met a rough crowd along with my gambling. I was giving them money and trying to win money so I could avoid going home to an abusive relationship. I was sleeping in my car and it was ridiculous. I lost my job on Sunday at market. Now I’m home again with a new…[Read more]

Good morning, I’ve excluded myself from casino 2 times. I had a gambling councilor for 2 years. I went through Bridgeway outpatient for 10 weeks.. I live with a phycological abuser and I have used the casino as an escape. I worked in the casino for 30 years and it’s familiar. The abuse has not stopped nor the gambling and I’ve been married for 3…[Read more]

I just like to say that gambling always leads to dark holes. The Powerful relentless leave no painful stone unturned. The powerful negative emotions and feelings the powerful addiction of a gambler is absolutely traumatic. It breeds a train of events that carry’s on long after a gambling runner. If your with a phycological abuser on top of a b…[Read more]

    • Hi Lori,
It takes courage to say the things you admitted.
Yes,darkness lures everywhere and once we established the dark patterns in our lives, it I hard not to walk it again and again, because we accepted the pain. However , we can’t expect to not fall into the same hole if we walk down the same street.
Take heart and work it one day at at a…[Read more]

Dear community, I’ve been studying the different parts of are brains. From what I understand is if we stay in the frontal lobe we are conscious of the here and now. The limbic system is the fight or flight or are addiction mind. Also the subconscious is patterns and behaviors. Since I’ve been aware of the different parts of the brain and there fun…[Read more]

Hi. I’m here on the Oregon Coast and happy that the casino I gamble in is closing their doors due to Covid. This is the 3rd time and I’m not SAD! Each time they close gives me a real chance to start over! I really don’t miss when closed and I don’t gamble anywhere else! If they could just keep their doors closed forever I would be a happy camper.

    • Hi Lori,
I have been to Chinook Winds in Lincoln City several times myself. I am happy to hear Oregon is closing most of the Indian Casinos again due to COVID resurfacing again. Now, if they could take ALL THE Video Poker and Slot games out of every bar, tavern, and restaurant run by The Oregon Lottery throughout that State?

      That would be an…[Read more]

Hi there, I went through treatment. It has ruined my gambling. I can’t gamble anymore and feel good about it or win. I’ve tried to continue to gamble after treatment it’s not working. So I’m going to really try abstaining from gambling. Try and do if the way I’m supposed would be easiest with a spiritual program and meetings.
    Best,
    Lori
