I am so ashamed of myself. I gambled again. My husband doesn’t know it yet but we have a couple of hundred dollars coming out of our joint account. I am so sick over it. I may hospitalize myself. I wish there was somewhere to go to get this demon off my back.

  Have you considered finding some counseling and as well Gamblers Anonymous group where there are folks who are or have bee where you are and who support each other not to place a bet One Day At A Time.

  I signed up for a service to stop me from going on sites to gamble. I also signed up for a app to help stop. So between here and those other things I think I can stop. I don’t like going to casinos I got in trouble online. It started with scratch offs . So wish me luck

    I would suggest seeking professional help as well that would hopefully help you identify faulty thinking that leads you to gamble, how to handle urges and how to prevent relapses. I would also recommend coming clean to your husband. You need a support system in your journey to recovery. You speak of an app, I am a psychotherapist who has had experience working with patients with gambling disorder in the hospital.
