Hi Linglang
Just wanted to share what worked for me when I crashed and was about to lose my family
home and job and almost ended my life in 2002
I joined gamblers anonymous and attended as many meetings as I could in my city.
Also found some group counseling and was blessed to go away for 28 days of inpatient
treatment. I was able to save my family pay off our home and retire.
But the key for me was I could never have done this on my own.
Hope you will keep visiting Gamtalk and find some GA meetings in your area.
And if you ever want to chat I am in the gamtalk chatroom most nigths at 11 pm est.
And on Tuesday nights in the other chatroom there is a session moderated by a counselor
where folks visit and share ideas to not gamble just for today.
God Bless

Linglang…. while it seems that stopping is a mountain…. it is a mountain you’re climbing each time you gamble… just barely holding on without falling.. Perhaps it’s worthwhile to see written down all the negatives about this addiction .. and then all the positive ‘if and when’ you try to stop. It’s hard.. no one here can say it’s easy. Instead of gambling try… really try to think about options that you have to fill that time with something to replace it…. If no other reason is greater your ‘kids’ are… Turn your thoughts and attention to them and if possible like Ken said get some support…. There is always hope! take care.. Diane
