Finally…..someone who understands. I’ve never reached out to anyone about this. This legit is the first time Ive ever admitted this or shared this problem Ive been struggling with bc I felt like it was a diff kind of gambling issue.

I’ve been a closet crypto trader for the past 3 years. Made a ton, lost a ton……you know the story. I’m scared bc I dont think I can truly stop. I feel like I must earn back a substantial part of what I lost before I feel “whole” ever again. I feel like I really do know what I’m doing, but just keep over-leveraging from my impatience and greed to earn back quicker. Is it possible to still trade with discipline and not be an addicted gambler? Or does GA say its all or nothing? I’m new to GA on every level. Just poked around the site a few times but that is it.

May I ask you how long and approx how much you lost? What do you do for work or income? Zero judgment…..absolutely zero. I really just want to gain some color on where you are in this toxic cycle I feel like I’ve been in.

Same situation but different poison ( forex).

You know what’s crazy it took me while to realize but it doesn’t matter how much I make after a certain point you feel like you get used to being broke.

When you look at it in a way where you know you can’t stop until you do not have money left to continue you lose intrest of the illusion of making money.

Crypto possibly consider getting help Counciling . Maybe ga meetings , confide to someone you can trust and are close to ask for their help.
You are the driver on your journey. You can stop you need to put a plan in place that will work for yourself.

I have lost huge chunk in stock/options.. no more saving in retirement account. Addicted to watching money. I m not getting back into this again!
