Hi I’m sorry that you feel scared. It is scary what gambling can do to a person. Never would have guessed it before gambling.
The people at this site for the most part have experienced what you have gone through and are feeling.
The best thing is to do what you are doing seek help I’m not sure what type of gambling you have done. For on line gambling there are blockers like Gamban which I did install first 7 days are free. What I didn’t like about it. It blocked my word games home decor game. Which I enjoy playing and have no threatening addiction too.
There is also self exclusion I’ve done that. That works well.
But truly a person could use more possibly counselling . Joining gamblers anonymous, real or virtual.
Sharing at this site helps. Stopping gambling is a process. It took awhile to get where you are and it will likely take a while to get to where you want to be now.
As they say where there is a will there is away. One day at a time friend.
