Day 211….. I picked up two 8 hour shifts this weekend. Pushing hard all the way to the 28th. Inching closer to the sentencing day but doing well with it. Done all I can. Out of my hands. If you don’t hear back from me by Tuesday night then I’m prolly on my way to somewhere new where I can’t leave but I’ll be okay too now if it happens. Acceptance is the key. Come Monday I’ll prolly have a hard day but I’m working 14 hours that day for the final push to bank as much money for my family as possible. Hopefully I’ll be saying hi on here Tuesday but I’ll let you all know somehow. Truly grateful to you all on here for sharing the load and my personal journey of recovery…. No bets today equals a successful day for me… have a good weekend everyone. 😊

    • Sec2022 – though I didn’t comment often, know I read most all your posts during your journey. Your strength and determination to tackle your addictions is impressive. At times your journey must have been incredibly difficult – what with earning enough to repay restitution, your son’s troubles, and just life in general. You kept true to your goal and marched through it all. Hold your head high no matter what the sentence is. Personally, I’ve been terribly weak when it comes to any type of constructive criticism I may get – I’ve learned through my own recovery that it is because I take it as a personal attack – that I am somehow wrong or less. I know that isn’t the case but years of being this way makes it so hard to shake this poor thinking. In any case, I know we are both committed to our goals of a new life, free of addiction. I’m so glad you are one of the companions traveling with me. God bless and no matter what happens Tuesday keep your head high. Thank you for your regular posts; they get me through more than you know.
