I’ve done the same thing numerous times. It’s gut wrenching, I’ve beaten myself up, I’ve thought the only way to quit was to end my life because I couldn’t control myself. What I can say is, focus on the problem. Don’t ignore it. Be honest with yourself. And work constantly on how to make things better. It’s hard. But life isn’t easy. I believe if you can stay diligent and persistent it gets easier and you find some kind of stress relief that is much greater than any sun you’ve ever had, but it takes time.
