I managed to hid my addiction from family and friends until just recently. I think the pain and burden of trying to cover it up and make excuses took me to the point to making blatant choice to take money from my husband’s credit card to gamble with.. over and over and over in one night. Chasing the loss after loss after loss.. and the shame to the point that I wanted to check myself in to a program somewhere… I called him, and told him.. and he said come home… I did.. but neither of us realized the hundreds and hundreds of dollars I pulled in one night until the next bank day… Then anger, pain, shock, and humiliation took us both to the edge.
