Good evening everyone! Today is my first day joining the community. This past weekend I realized that I have a problem with gambling and playing slot machines. I found myself going to the casino every weekend trying to get the money back I’ve lost. I decided it was in my best interest to self exclude myself from the two casinos that are in driving distance to me bc I was starting to become addicted!. I lost a lot of my savings, but I’m grateful that I realized I was headed down a dangerous path before things started getting out of hand. I’ve accepted what I lost at the casino is the past, and I’m looking forward to getting counseling and treatment so I can get back on the right path. I realized today I was chasing something I would never be able to control!! ! I’m tired of lying to my friends and family about my location and what I’ve been doing. My prayer earlier today was asking God to forgive me for mismanaging my finances and asking him to help me to forgive myself!
