I remember many a Christmas when I blew the budget on gambling and the terrible weight of the guilt that came with that. To anyone who is feeling that right now, have faith in your ability to make this the last Christmas that this happens, it can be done. Have belief in your ability to make that change, it is easy to doubt your resolve in the early days but many have succeeded before you and you can succeed also, you just have to want it and get help with it, little steps lead to big changes. All the best for the New Year and the New You.

My last Christmas gambling was terrible ended up borrowing money after I had lost my paycheck before I had bought my family any gifts or the Christmas turkey and fixings. Use half of the borrowed money to buy some crappy gifts and food. And of course I used the other half of the money to gamble. That was back in 2001. Every Christmas since I have stopped gambling I have been able to buy decent gifts for my family and a nice turkey dinner with cash. And I had gambled for close to 30 years so it can be done.
