Been gambling over 12 years 150k loss, been to nhs gambling clicking ,self excluded ..everything you can buy nothing works. It’s about you you need to find the strength to give up.it’s the same.as drugs and drink,smoking. It’s a habit. For me the realisation of how.much I’ve truly gambled away.I’ve been homeless in trouble.with the law.everything none of it out me off. It’s about you and finding it in your self.to.say no. You have 7 minutes to get through the main urges once you do ,it becoms easier

  Start right now & then do the best u can to go into tomorrow & be strong and do the same. I’m fairly certain everyone on here can relate . I’m no different. It’s only been 2 days for me and I’m not giving up…& Yes…need to stay focused & say No! Stay strong…

  I have been homeless and did prison time because of gambling. Only thing that worked for me was the 12 steps. Use the AA big book as a example. I learned to deal with resentment, and today I must be free of fear, selfishness, dishonesty and resentment and be of service to other addicts and gamblers to keep away. That is what meetings are for, to find people to help. I will have to do that the rest of my life.
