Well, sometimes GA meetings made me angry, sad or uncomfortable but I continued to go to them because I knew they were part of my recovery.

I’m now not sure about the Friday meeting. Another member will update I guess.

Stop trying to explain. Anger sometimes stops people from listening and understanding what is being said.

Trust is one of the things that takes a while to regain. By looking through some of the Gamblers Anonymous literature on their website, you may get a sense of what might help you. Did they give you any booklets/pamphlets at your meeting? If so, sometimes reading them can help until the urges and anger passes.

In my experience, loved ones/family are bitter and angry because their trust has been shaken. They usually are very disappointed that they haven’t been able to help you, even though they knew something was wrong.
