Hi everyone, Im new to this. I feel that this may be a little easier to talk than going to a meeting.
I live like 2-3 miles from a casino and its really hard not to go there a lot. I live with my elderly dad so, it’s not like I can move. I don’t have any income coming in Im trying to get my disability but, when I do get any money thats the first place I think of going. My boyfriend is really worried about us getting married because he’s been through this before with an ex. He told me that he’s even thought about us not seeing each other anymore. I don’t want to lose him and I really want to get this under control before it really starts controlling me anymore than it already does.

  Hi, I was the same way. The ONLY thing that has worked for me is meetings. I used the AA big book to rid myself of fear, dishonest, resentment and I MUST be of service to other gamblers, or I slip. Which is why I am reaching out here, because this keeps me away from the next bet. I have 20 years of trial and error to know this is the only thing that works for me. Go to meetings, make friends.
