New to this group and on my 8th day without placing a bet. I was living a double life for over a year which included hundreds of lies to my wife and countless hours away from my family seeking the big win. Gambling has changed me, I’ve isolated myself, full of shame and find it hard to look those I’ve hurt in the eye. I have a deep financial burden and currently not living with my family. It’s a tough spot, and each day I do my best to find something positive, try to keep myself busy and quiet the devil on my shoulder. I’m proud of myself for the 8 days clean and I’m optimistic about day 9. Take care, Jon.
