I just wanted to say to the people who share in this group… thank you! There are so many that are helped by just knowing that there are those who really understand the results of this addiction. I know that I have been helped by many. When I was in the midst of this ‘addiction’ I felt so out of control and didn’t think anyone would understand. Here I am 77 years old and the past couple of years I didn’t recognize myself… and didn’t like myself either… Anyway… just a thank you ! Lindy

I’m sure that in your 77 years you have seen bin through and done many things.
It’s a shame gambling can take so much from a person. More than money a person’s well being and happiness. Losing one’s self I think because it’s so hard to understand how one can get caught up in such a trail of disaster in the making. I hope you have found yourself again. Your words here are so kind and understanding. Hugs.

I love this Lindy! I’m so grateful for the stories, vulnerability and community here as well. I’ve noticed it allows for so much more self acceptance, when you hear about others expereineces and realize it’s not only you with the addiction and challenges. a big thank you to this community from me too!
