It’s been over a week since I have self excluded from gambling.
That has helped me. I binged when stressed. This week was a test. Very short on my unit but I was able to manage by resting and visiting a friend in the hospital that had a bad fall due to aging. Amazing visit. I realized how important it is to refocus and put my mind elsewhere on something positive and to give back to community. I had moments of guilt and self loathing but I was able to forgive myself and look forward to a better tomorrow because I know that it is possible with God- yes all thing possible with him. I got to experience that when I shift my focus on him and not my past I am able to go forward with recovery not easy but doable one day at a time. I pray for each and everyone of us every day. My faith has more meaning to me and life is beginning to make sense.. Hugs everyone and stay strong we can do this together.
