I would like to express my gratitude for this community. It is a blessing to know that I am not alone. I have lost all my urges to gamble. It was indeed a miracle. I know that I have a way to go learning new coping skills. So far the love and support from my family and this community has given me strength and hope.
I am grieving right now over the losses. Not just the money but the time I spent doing self destructive work to the max. True sadness has hit me. I am mourning. It is a good thing.

  Hi Mitten08, I have been where you are and from my own experience I would encourage you to celebrate your choice to stop rather than grieve over the losses. The losses play a powerful draw back towards gambling, if you can write off and accept those losses life will become easier.
  
  Be proud and celebrate the choice you have made to stop gambling, you are doing a good thing. It is a better thing to write off the losses than add to them.
