This is a sad fact that I want to revile I do not feel like I am alone on this also the fact that there are people out there that want you to fail in your recovery, it could be family members or friends or even others in recovery for countless number of reasons and the people that are sabotaging your recovery might not even know they are doing it, it could be out of jealousy or even dislike of you or contempt it could be that person failed in there recovery and will not let you succeed in yours keep your eyes open and if you see or feel any of this let that person know that you are not gong to put up with this kind of behavior if it keeps up we need to end the relationship because my recovery is life or death of me.

    • JeffK , hey my day buddy. Just read your post and I can tell something has happened and you are feeling alone and vulnerable right now. 1st thing you are not alone, You have your GamTalk community, numerous helplines, and your toolkit you have been building for times you feel like this, Reach deep down into that box and take the time you need to think about what has happened, how you are going to deal with it, and put yourself 1st above anyone else .Your mental health ,wellbeing, has to be number 1 priority in your life. Above anyone or anything. Your number 1 priority is getting yourself well, you know why because you deserve to live a happy, abundant Good Life❤️ When I get feeling how you just described, challenged, upset , or frustrated, I ask myself ,How does this serve me? Does it fill me with love, joy and peace, does it come from a place kindness and good intention. If things are not serving you in a positive fashion, you might have to distance yourself from these people, thoughts, situations for awhile. Your recovery JeffK is your number1. Today I pray my GamTalk community strength and the wisdom to face all roadblocks, and challenges with the question “ How does this serve me “

      • Thank you so much for your comment Woundedhealer I have been at recovery off and on for many years never fully gave it up but I could tell when I was in recovery on a different site a lot of nick picking to what you can say and do and they would block you from the site for the slightest rule brake it was not helpful at all it was bad glad I am out of that but that downfall from that site sent me right back to gambling. You gave me many good ideas to keep in mind the next time I feel that way Thank You.
