I have noticed that I go back in time when I was hoping to find some money on the street . I grew up poor and I enjoyed that moment. For some reason it gave me hope. I think God wants to remind me how that is exactly the same false hope that gambling has done. I believe in miracles but they come from within. It is the small step by step dealing with reality as much as we can and then let God do what we can not. Being a little better every day is bringing it’s own miracle and satisfying our emptiness. Pray for wisdom and discernment and accept the what is as painful as it seems. Rejoice in recovery. The money or happiness is not found on the street and won’t give you what you need. Because if it did we would keep trying to find it every time. It is an illusion and keeps us like puppets on a string.
