    Hi Group,
Sorry that I have not been here in a while, as I am feverishly working on finishing my next gambling recovery memoir part-2!
However, I do get my email digest of shares in the group, and first, for those who are having a rough go or struggling?
Hang in there as LIFE is so much better than hours and hours of time wasted away from your friends and family gambling, as that is time you can not get back.

When I finally and truly surrendered to the fact that I could NOT nor EVER control my addicted gambling. My addiction was so bad; I had 2 failed suicide attempts; I searched all and everything to begin my life-long recovery process. It did include GA, but that alone was not going to get me within long-term recovery. But here is the thing: you can manage your recovery like any other disease WHILE LIVING LIFE…

That is an important part of recovery. Live your life and go back to the hobbies and interests you used to enjoy. But, there is no way around NOT doing some inside work to research The WHY you used gambling to the point it took over all areas of your life??? That will begin the healing and acceptance of those roots and issues that need addressing to succeed on your recovery journey. It also will help you overcome any bumps in your path. Having a Relapse Prevention Plan ready as well. We know life events will happen and come, so be ready as relapse doesn’t have to be part of your journey.
    And if you do relapse?
You have to learn from it, or it really isn’t a relapse. (Just my opinion, solely), and what I have learned and experienced. So, take a day at a time so you don’t get overwhelmed. YOU CAN DO THIS and Gain Your Life back from gambling!
