We only have one meeting at this time on Fridays but tonight at 9 est fellow named Rob runs an open chat
session for a few hour and usually several people drop by. Can share whatever is on your mind or in your heart or ask questions. Also if you have a long distance calling plan Gamblers Anonymous holds a telephone conference meeting on Wednesday night at 9 pm est. And I am in and out of the Recovery Chat room Monday to Friday between 10am & 6pm

My name is Ken L and I am a moderator at Gamtalk and have been in recovery for just over 15 years.
Glad you are reaching out for support. Hope you will visit our chat rooms and that you will seek counseling and find a Gamblers Anonymous meeting. Also if you are free at 4:30pm est today we have an online GA type
meeting here. And if you are interested I send out two daily recovery messages which I believe help to us
to focus on recovery to start the day. If you want to try them please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and
I will add you to the group. And I will also send you a few messages / info that may help you as you go forward in your recovery.

I am a (former) professional poker player in the beginning stages of recovery. I am finding it extremely difficult to find meaningful, useful recovery resources in my area. Pathological gambling seems to be very misunderstood and undertreated – at least from my view. I am hoping that I can share my story with others and that each of you will share with me.
While I follow the path to wellness, I intend to advocate for those still suffering – so no one else has to feel as alone, stigmatized or as out of resources as I currently feel.
