i have the same problem. guilt and shame are constant when battling this disease. you are not alone. i have installed gamban on my phone and computer. it provides another obstacle for me in the moments i want to log in and bet. other times im feeling like i want to bet i go for a 15 -20 minute walk if possible. they say an urge to bet lasts 15 minutes

Nancynurse, you are not alone. Many of us share the same horrible feelings. I fell victim to gambling 22+ years ago and have decided to take a different approach with my time and money. There is hope, maybe adding a new hobby to your agenda that doesn’t have to cost money or engage in free online games etc.

Niamat, sorry to hear this. I don’t know controls there are in UAE on gambling sites but there should be something to prevent you gambling online again. you are not alone and you can fight this. I myself have got into bad debt and hidden from family and pretend everything is fine. but now I have control as I have got help and stopped. you can too.

i’m sorry to hear of your struggles, i am going through the same but have a few weeks of clean time going. i have found that going to GA meetings really helps and changing your routine/ whatever you are doing when you get urges. if you are gambling on your phone there is software you can install to prevent that

hope you’re ok. i’ve found the first few days/ weeks to be the toughest and slowly but surely your brain will start to rewire and with time your urges will be less and less. you should look into creating plan for yourself with meetings if possible, and talking to people who have experience with this disease. it has helped me

this is not the answer. think about the times that got you to this spot and the feeling with losing. even if you chase and get that 5k back, you will be placing more bets in no time and find yourself in a similar spot, likely worse. consider this 5k an expensive lesson on why you shouldn’t gamble, my lesson is about 100 times that currently.…[Read more]
