Community 14 hours, 27 minutes agoHi. I’m new to this app and I’m reading all the conversations and I can relate! I’ve lost so much money to gambling. I try to think positive with all I still have-family job and friends. But it is so hard. I’m so tired of losing and feel so ashamed. Why do I continue to bury myself in this addiction.

Hey im new to this too and am also ashamed of my poor decision making. Try to find a new hobby to fill the void it can be anything. I recently bought a gym membership and that helps me a lot and I’ve also been adding to my tfsa/roth ira. If you want to invest for your future even just 20% of what you were losing each week, i promise it will pay o…[Read more]

Community 21 hours, 54 minutes agoHi – I’m back again after several months clean. I have hit a spiral and can’t seem to get myself out of it. I just continue to gamble. I know I am going to lose and don’t even really care. Good thoughts and support would be appreciated.

Community 1 days, 5 hours agoHello I am having so many issues trying to stop gambling. I know it is wrong and we are in so much debt. I just cannot stop. Today I went down and lost $1900 in 2 hrs. When I left I felt so sick. I could not believe I did that. I just got paid yesterday and it’s gone. I do not know what else to do.

It sounds like you’re facing a tough challenge. Maybe shifting your focus to something engaging and less destructive could help. Have you ever tried a game like Snow Rider 3D? It’s a free, fun way to get an adrenaline rush without the financial risk. Finding a healthy distraction can be a good first step towards regaining control.

Community 1 days, 17 hours agoIt’s tough when a season ends poorly, but great your daughter is so determined! When preparing for high school, every detail counts. For those throws, understanding angles is crucial. An online protractor could even help visualize the perfect trajectory for a stronger serve or spike! Good luck!

Community 2 days, 11 hours agoVolleyball is very up and down. My daughter’s traveling season ended poorly, with her coach giving her less and less playing time. I asked her what her plans were, and she said she planned to keep playing. I was worried because high school season starts next, and the players are really good.
To prepare, I told her to work on squats, throws, and…[Read more] -

Community 5 days, 3 hours agoI watched a YouTube, and the lady said: “Drinking is really bad for dementia, and alzheimers.”
People who struggle with gambling, or ________ are like – I’m glad that’s not my habit.
Yeah, but… it’s ruining everything in a very different way.
Reread the above sentence again, focusing on the word “everything.”
Second, I am very likely done with…[Read more] -

Community 5 days, 20 hours agoHow do you suggest I manage my $ when I’m in early recovery? Live off of $20/day etc? How did you all do it?

No fast food/alcohol. Depending on your situation it might make things harder but I promise you’ll feel so much better of yourself I got a gym membership and watching sports without betting on, it is actually interesting. Gambling often hijacks or reward system and will justify spinning hundreds just on one but but won’t spend $50 at the gro…[Read more]

Community 6 days agoOnline slots getting the best of me (once again), have done more lifetime self exclusions than I can even count in my home state. But as a textbook addict, always find a way. Delusionally optimistic that “big win” (even though I’ve come to realize that there is realistically no $ amount that would make me say yeah sure I’ll walk away with that an…[Read more]

Right there with you. (Multiple nights for me — don’t want to come off as someone who has years of recovery (I did at one point, but just like that I was off and at it). The anxiety and shame will subside. Not immediately, maybe not even tomorrow. I close my eyes and see slot machines rolling, I’ll go through all the funds deposited and play on “p…[Read more]

Community 1 weeks, 2 days agoTo control gambling urges consider praying:
“Father, help me to be content.”
When I am content, I don’t need anything!
1 Timothy 6 “But godliness with contentment is great gain.”
Consider memorizing this great verse.
We work on godliness when we work on the habits of turning from sin, and the prayer:
“Father, keep me from temptation…[Read more] -
