Day 2- went to my first G.A. meeting. This was the real first step I needed. It was hard to admit to myself that this is something I cannot beat on my own. Reading my book for the second time today. Just today. One day at a time. Prayers to all of us on our journey to recovering from this addiction.

It is rough. I am only on day 1 if not gambling. I went to the G.A. site and lifted a meeting near me and will be attending tomorrow. Same thing with me. I could win or even hit a small jackpot after only putting in $40-$100 and I would just keep playing upping my bet to the max bet. I’d lose it all and just try to figure out why I couldn’t stop when I was ahead. So today is Day 1 for me. I told one person I could trust most. They were without judgement. I couldn’t do face to face meetings either. I suggest getting rid of your cc card and debit cards or any access to cash or if you gamble online block those sites. Go shopping instead. Go one day. I am in exact same position… Have been gambling and in denied for years that it’s no big deal until last weekend, I went on 72 hrs binged and lost $5k trying to proof if Max bet is the way to make money playing slots!
