Community 5 years agoI’m gambling again. Wtf…I already lost $3,600. Had to pawn my wedding ring to buy food. I’m in so much pain yet I go back. I need strength. God help me stop. Please.

Gambling is crazy addictive. I gambled our mortgage away two months ago…it sucks to have so little control but there is hope. I will pray for you.

I feel you. I’m sorry. Please remember that asking for help is a sign of strength. Be strong. You will do your family more damage if you are not here. Get a sponsor. A friend. Someone who can lift you up. Hugs.

Thank you. I normally turn to my best friend when I need someone to talk to but she’s going through some heath scares so I don’t want to bring my burdens to her but I probably should.

I don’t post much but I appreciate other people posting. I’m doing good at the moment. No gambling since I gambled my mortgage payment away on 11/03. Not only did I gamble that, I also took 1600 in cash advances. That was my lowest point yet. I come here, go to meetings, take meds for anxiety. Thank you for sharing. I find myself in the same boat. My last time was 3 weeks ago. I gambled out house payment away. Chasing. I’m exhausted. I fight the desire to go daily. It’s depressing, stressful, and sad.
