Community 5 years agoHere it is day 6, and I’m fighting a strong urge to go gamble at casino with my $50 reward play. This is the strongest urge I’ve felt during the past 6 days, and I’m going bat $hit krazy (YES! crazy with a “K”)

Community 5 years agoI’m a compulsive gambler. My life, including my finances, become unmanageable when I gamble. Taking one day at a time to not start the cycle of insanity all over again by placing that first bet today. Just for today: I choose not to gamble.

Don’t give up. Hang in there. I took a part time job to help pay off gambling debts. No checking account by choice. Cut up my ctedit card. I use prepaid ctedit or gift cards that are non reloadable to make purchases, and those types of cards do not work to get cash back from ATM or when making purchases. It’s been 2 days since I gambled. Lost my bill money again on payday. At least I have a debit card that I cannot get cadh back or use at atm do I’ll have food and gas until then. I’ve contacted the creditors whose payments were returned. What will I do differently when payday comes in 2 weeks? For starters I’ve cut up my credit card, and I have an…[Read more]
