@dr-wo I am 88 years old and am ashamed that I call myself a compolsive gambler. My problem started a few years ago when I was put on [requipe] a pill to control Restless legs and one of the side effects of it is compulsive gambling. I have tried to get off of them but there is no other pill that will help. I just wondered if there is anybody else that has this problem. So here is the rest of my story. I gambled away all my money in saving and then turned to credit cards. The minute I had some credit where I could draw it out I would do that . My daughter finally convinced me to go to a GA meeting and I went a few times but when winter set in I quit going. I felt out of place there because of my age I was the oldest one there and I felt like I should have known better than to gamble away all my money. I am now living with my daughter and trying to make ends meet . But the urge is still there and I hope That by joining the chat I might fight this through. I still take the requip but have cut down on them hoping that will help.
