I struggle so much with the apps on my phone. it is so easy to go on and gamble at any point of the day. Once i get started, it is impossible to stop whether I win or lose (which always ends in losing as many of you may know). I am still in my 20s so really worry about how this is going to effect my life.

    • I’m in my 30s and am also struggling with those. They’re so available, connect so easily to accounts, and can just be opened up on the phone as easily as texting. I’m in my two years of this addiction, and most recent relapse lost thousands. I too worry about the future of what I might do. But I’m learning more about the blocking apps, and starting to visit this website daily. I think it’s good that we’re trying.

    • Hi Folks
Glad you are looking for support
Maybe consider putting a blocker on your phone / computer
      Description of Services
BetBlocker is a free tool to help you control your gambling. Install it on as many devices as you like and you can block yourself from accessing over 4300 gambling websites. You can select how long you want to be blocked for.

Please remember that once the tool is activated you cannot remove the restrictions until your selected restriction length has expired.

BetBlocker also has a Parental Controls setting that allows you to switch the tool on and off via a password so that parents can stop their children accessing gambling services (and other sites!!)

    • Same here. I am too stressed with it too. I am not gambling now because I don’t have money coming in, but when I have money, I just end up losing everything away, but the bills keep pilling up and I am delayed. And the feeling of being a failure creeps in. It’s just too stressful. I pray we can get over this.

      • I am also in my 20s and I already think I am wasting my life. I have two kids, all under 2. And I feel this way. I feel like I’m in a deep whole.

    • Gnm you are young and you have your life before you. Don’t let the people who own the casinos have the better quality of life that in reality you have earned and deserve. You can’t get the past back. The money you have lost isn’t coming back. (Most likely)
Don’t take the chance that it will that’s gambling. You have a bright future before yourself. One which you are worried about ruining. You have already answered your question about gambling. Your words fit every one that is here. All have struggled as you are. It takes sometime once a person steps away for the urges to fade. They do fade to a point that you can truly rationalize what is really best for yourself.
Gamban is a really good blocker for your phone. For $50 dollars year you will likely save thousands. Ga meetings Counciling. Checking in on this site to share how you are doing and follow others journey. Hugs.

    • You are only in your’ 20’s When many here began they were young but continued on for many years regretting it so much. All I can say is making the decision ‘now’ to stop is easier that after many years and much loss of money and self-esteem. Try to find another avenue of using your time… volunteer, find a hobby… something you enjoy… but do it now before years pass and you so wished you had… take care Lindy
