Hello all, im sending you all love and a reminder that you are more than this illness. Ive been battling an addiction to gambling for 20 years. I just came clean with my partner of 2 years about my gambling. Im reaching out for help and support. This problem has ruined friendships relationships, and my self esteem. I attempted suicide last May and ended up in the hospital. I was moments away from trying last night. I need help.

Kabobra Thank you for your words of encouragement. They show your empathy for others. It’s wonderful that you have asked your significant other for help. There’s a lot of strength in having another person sharing in a person growth.
Your words are sad at the same time. Suicide isn’t the answer to your problems. Gamblers have the highest rate of suicide. Seek counseling , ga meetings what ever it takes to beat this. I want to call it the beast. You are worth far more than any bet, any dollar.

Kabobra many people have been there what stops me is thinking about my partner with feel after my suicide that usually stops me but I have no plan. I think it’s just despondency comes over me.
But I need to say reach out to a call center when you feel like this or a counselor or therapist or minister or your doctor when you feel suicidal, please call a suicide support center please promise that. There is hope it’s about a millimeter away from our fingertips. We just need someone else.to Remind us about that. And you deserve that hope you really do.
