Day 1. I realize that I have a problem and need to stop. Feeling so lost and alone. There are a lot of issues with my family going on right now and I gamble because when I’m at the casino I forget my troubles for a while. I now know this is only getting me into debt and isn’t the answer for my stress and trauma.

I have been where you are right now. (Except my addiction was with online casinos). It was a way to block out things happening in my life. This past fall I hit rock bottom and spent the next few months having many day ones of trying to dig myself out. About 6 weeks ago I finally was able to find the help I needed. Each day is a new committment to staying gamble free. Hang in there and celebrate the small victories because eventually those small victories will turn into large successes.
