I’m noticing the ‘windows’ of time where all the details add up to a slip or relapse. Times where in the past I’ve turned my logical brain off and allowed my addicted brain to carry me. These are times of change, stress, and layers of life details that seem hard to face or handle in the moment. Today is one of those days where there is a window to have my addictive brain say ‘hey, lets get out of here and take a break at a casino and forget the world for a day’… NOPE ! Everything is still there waiting after a ‘casino break’ but I’d be strung out and most likely upset about losses. odaat.
